California Combo Hunts

Oak Stone Outfitters wants to make sure that our customers have ample options while staying with us. We offer many hunts with overlapping seasons and can’t think of a better way to celebrate a successful hunt then with another one!

WILD PIG & UPLAND BIRD HUNT COMBOS

Our wild pig hunts run all year long and our upland bird hunts run from October to February. Depending on the time of year, hunters can expect to see an average of 30 pigs a day. Our method for hunting is usually spot and stalk but we also have ground blinds for archery hunters. Average weight is between 155 lbs and 165 lbs with a few taken every year that exceed 300 lbs.

After you wrap up an exciting wild pig hunt you can witness some of the largest covey rises that any quail species has to offer.  The California valley quail only resides on the west coast so don't miss out on a rare opportunity. Our guides and their bird dogs will be sure to put you on birds and make your hunting experience one you won’t forget! Our California valley quail season runs from October 20th to January 27th. We also offer pheasant and chukar hunts to be combined with our wild pig hunts. Our guides and their dogs will take you through some beautiful rolling grasslands and lush valleys to hunt these hardy birds. Our pheasant and chukar season runs from October 13th to February 3rd. Enjoy the best of both worlds by combining these two great hunts while experiencing California's comfortable winter climate and pristine views.

RIO GRANDE TURKEY & WILD PIG HUNT COMBOS:

At Oak Stone Outfitters we offer a 100% opportunity at shooting these loudmouth Rio Grande gobblers. The spring season runs from the last weekend in March and extends for 45 consecutive days, with archery and junior season staying open for two weeks after general season closes.  Depending on weather conditions hunters can expect to see 15-20 birds a day.  Our excellent guides will have the roosting sites scouted to enhance the opportunity of getting that early morning gobbler when he comes down off the roost looking for hens. However, as any avid turkey hunter knows, roosted doesn't always mean roasted but with some great calling and good looking setups we are sure to get some late morning action.  We hunt all day in the field typically taking a break for lunch. The hunt concludes at 5 pm each day, which is a predetermined time set by the California department of Fish and Wildlife.

In addition to the adrenaline packed Rio Grande turkey hunt you and your guests can combo that with a fully guided and outfitted wild pig hunt on private ranches in the central coast area of California.  With rolling oak hills sides transitioning into bushy canyons these ranches are loaded with wild pigs of all sizes and colors. The average weight is about 160 lbs with some exceeding 300 lbs.  Hunters can expect to see 20-40 pigs per day or more depending on time of year.  Spot and stalk methods are used as well as ground blinds when hunting archery.
